The Wild Zappers and National Deaf Dance Theatre

Come to enjoy an evening with The Wild Zappers, all deaf male dance company and the National Deaf Dance Theatre, a mainstreamed dance company. Their performance tells the story of their life as deaf performing artists who has gone through journey to make their dream come true. It is a combination of hip hop/jazz/funk dances, poems, videos and stories in American Sign Language. It is to be performed with popular songs of the past and present and some theatre.

With only a Tin Hau statue, a compass and her strong determination, a woman and her baby sets out on an undwon and long sea journey in search of a distant aunt in Singapore.  Hong Kong deaf theatre group, Theatre of the Silence and the Australian theatre of the deaf presents a language barrier-free production of movement, music and comedy in Untie the Boat from the Ugly Wharf, a story of hope, transformation and self-discovery.
