The Congress Organizing Committee has reserved rooms at special rates in selected hotels downtown in the area surrounding the Palais des Congrès de Montréal (Montréal Convention Centre). All hotels are within a 5-20-minute walk from the Convention Centre and most have easy access to subway (metro) stations. The Palais des Congrès de Montréal is located at Place-d'Armes metro station on the Henri-Bourassa/Cote-Vertu (orange) line.

All hotel rates are in Canadian funds.

Room Rates

A first night deposit night is required. This deposit is equivalent to the room rate for your first choice hotel. Certified checks or money orders should be made payable to the order of "CMS2003WCD Secretariat". Room rates are in Canadian dollars and are subject to a room tax of $2 per night, plus federal and provincial taxes (GST, QST).

To make a hotel reservation, please complete the attached accommodation form and return it to the Secretariat.

Hotel reservations will not be processed unless they are accompanied by the necessary deposit. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DEPOSIT IS KEPT SEPARATE FROM YOUR REGITRATION PAYMENT.

Rooms will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations made directly at the hotel by the participant will not be accepted. Reservation requests must be received at the Secretariat no later than May 16, 2003. The availability and cost of the rooms cannot be guaranteed after that date.

The hotel will send you an official confirmation directly.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations of hotel reservations must be sent to the CMS2003WCD Secretariat, in writing (letter/fax/e-mail), no later than May 17, 2003 for rooms at UQAM Student Residences, or not later than June 15, 2003 for all other Congress hotels. For UQAM Student Residences, you are liable for the full cost of your stay if cancelled after May 17. At all other hotels, cancellations received before June 15 will be refunded their deposit less $20 CAD processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after June 15, 2003. All reimbursements will be issued after the Congress.

Hotel Information
Wyndham Hotel
The Wyndham hotel located in the heart of downtown Montréal, underground access to the Convention Centre, within walking distance of Old Montréal, the Old Port, Place des Arts and Musée d'art contemporain. Adjacent to a shopping centre of 100 shops and boutiques and the metro (subway). Inside pool, restaurant, close-captioning in all TVs, sign language information video rooms, TTYs available at Front desk.

Holiday Inn Select
The Holiday Inn Select hotel located in the heart of Montreal's Chinatown, within minutes of walking distance of Old Port and downtown. Executive floor, spa and Asian restaurant located inside the hotel. Close-captioning in all TVs, TTYs available at Front desk.

Delta Centre Ville
In the heart of downtown and the financial district, adjacent to the Place Victoria, the World Trade Centre, and the Multimedia city. Within walking distance to the Convention Centre, the Old Port and Old Montréal. "Top-of-the-tower" revolving restaurant, executive floor. Close-captioning in all TVs, TTYs available at Front desk.

Lord Berri
Located at the edge of Old Montréal, the Lord Berri hotel offers you quality and value at an affordable rate. The Lord Berri is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, close to numerous outdoor cafés and terrasses, and a 15 minutes walk from the Convention Centre (or two subway stops). Sign language information video in rooms, TTYs available at Front desk, close-captioning not available in all rooms.

Travelodge
The Travelodge hotel located very close to the Convention Centre, close to festival sites, Old Montréal, downtown, and Chinatown. Rooms are small but offer good quality housing at affordable rate. Free continental buffet breakfast included.

La Tour Centre-Ville
Located only a few minutes from the Convention Centre, the Tour Centre-Ville hotel is also close to Old Montréal and Chinatown. Sauna and an inside pool as well as 2 restaurants are available. Close-captioning in all TVs, TTYs available at Front desk.

Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM ) Residences
This student residence is located only a few minutes walk from the Convention Centre. It offers very affordable housing in units of 2 or 8 rooms, with shared bathroom. No TVs in rooms, one TV in common room.
