High technologies
reaching the Deaf [PDF]
During the 14th World Congress of World Federation of the Deaf, which takes
place at the Convention Centre in Montreal, July 18 to 26, high technologies
will be one of the main concerns. If high technologies improve our daily
lives, they mean much more for deaf people, as they help bridge the gap with
the hearing world and can play a genuine role in integration of the Deaf. To
inform, to communicate, to educate cons-titute the many challenges that some
high technologies companies have decided to take on. |
