Transportation Information

Transportation Information

Airports
Montréal is served by two airports, with all regular continental and international flights arriving at Dorval International Airport. Located 25 minutes by car from the downtown core, Dorval Airport provides regular shuttle service ($11 CA) as well as taxis (flat rate of $28 CAD) for trips to downtown hotels.

The Access Committee will have counters at Dorval Airport to help delegates find transfers by shuttle and taxi. Look for signs with the Congress logo and volunteers in the international and domestic arrival areas after picking up your luggage.

Mirabel International Airport, some 55 kilometers (34 miles) northwest of the city, is the arrival point for all charter flights and air freight. Regular shuttle buses ($20 CA) and taxis (approx. $65 CA) are available for transfer downtown.

Airport Improvement Fee
Passengers departing from the Montreal-Dorval International Airport must pay an airport improvement fee of $17.25 CDN. It is possible to purchase AIF tickets at the airport, at any one of several sales outlet or at automated dispensers located near check-in desks and searching areas. These tickets are also offered by advance purchase at receptive agencies or from professional convention organizers. There is no airport improvement fee for passengers departing from the Montreal-Mirabel International Airport.
